Leap Venture Studio, a collaboration between Mars Petcare, Michelson Found Animals, and R/GA Ventures, invests in the top companies dedicated to pets and the people who love them. The studio has invested in over 50 companies, making it the largest and most successful initiative of its kind in the space.
I directed the creative output of the studio over six years and eight program cycles.

Shameless Pets works to reduce the environmental impact of pet food through their nutritional, upcycled treats, diverting food that would otherwise be wasted but can deliver powerful health benefits for dogs.
The company had a powerful story that we helped to clarify and enhance through messaging, the web, video, and presentations.

Lacuna Diagnostics

Less than 1% of veterinary hospitals employ a pathologist, meaning that most pets at risk for cancer can’t easily get a diagnosis that might save their life. Lacuna Diagnostics has pioneered a virtual pathology model that allows veterinarians anywhere to have access to these services, helping dogs get life-saving treatments sooner and more effectively.
Our team worked on a rebrand of the company’s visual identity, updated the experience design for their web portal, and created a new pitch narrative.
The company was acquired by Heska in 2021.
