In their successful bid to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the nation of Qatar’s presentation at FIFA headquarters was a watershed moment. Having helped Qatar’s bid committee create a tablet-based guide for the delegate’s on-site inspection, R/GA was asked to create their final presentation to the delegates before the votes were cast.

I was selected to direct the presentation, and built a small team who traveled to Doha, London, and Zurich to work directly with the committee’s leaders.

Our team’s approach was unique among the bidding nations and steeped in emotion, highlighting what it would mean for the Middle East to host a global sporting event for the first time. That permeated every aspect of the presentation: the narrative, the visuals, the incredible films by Radical Media, and the impeccable delivery by the nation’s leaders.
